My Stash (part 3)!

Here is the final part, this is the one that really tells it all ;-)

Pure Ice, LA Colors (and LA Girls), Wet 'n Wild and other assorted american brands.

Picture eleven: First two drawers is swedish polish (H&M, Viva la Diva, Depend, Make Up Store and Isadora). Third drawer is english polish (Ciaté, Illamasqua, Model's Own, Nail Inc and BarryM).

More english polish in first drawer (Rimmel, MaxFactor and other brands), french polish in second drawer (mostly L'Oreal). My last drawer is reserved for the rest of the world! :-)

Well, I guess this labels me a polish hoarder by all known definitions.
How about you'll? Do you want to show me your stash?

My Stash (part 2)!

Here is part two of this crazy post:

Two more drawers of Sally Hansen, then we have other american brands, like CoverGirl, Piggy Polish, Milani and Ruby Kisses.

Picture number six: Misa, RBL and Revlon.

More Revlon, then Orly, $OPI, Spa Ritual, Color Club, Del Sol and CND.

Nubar, Essie, BB Couture, Nyx and Sinful Colors.

Butter London, Zoya, MAC, ManGlaze, Hard Candy, Urban Decay and Maybelline.

Stay tuned for the last installment!

My Stash (part 1)!

Taking a deep breath and steadying myself. Do I really dare to show you this?

Obviously insane, or just a little nutty? You decide!
(and this post is picture heavy, so if you're not into polish porn, just feel free to move along)
Actually, because of my very limited blogging knowledge, I will have to divide this post into parts, because of the many pictures.

Maybe some of you will find a use for this post when your SO has issues with you buying too many polishes. Just direct him to me, I'll take care of him ;-)

I have six Helmers. Adorable pets all of them, if you just feed them regularly (but never after midnight..)

I sort my polishes by countries, brands and collections, in that order.

First picture: Nailart and Konads in the first drawer, then OPI.

Second picture: More OPI. (and some free space for future hauls)

OPI and China Glaze, probably my favorite brands if I had to choose.

More China Glaze, and Sally Hansen.

That is the end of Part One, stayed tuned...

The Fine Art of Hoarding

The happy news that Hard Candy is reappearing gave me some food for thought. I looked in my trusted Helmer and counted my HC polishes and I came up with some 30+. A year ago I did not even know the brand existed.
What is it that makes certain individuals so proned to collecting things? Is it some genetic residue from the time when only she survived, who had collected enough nuts and roots and knew how to store them in a cunning way?

I suspect that is at least part of the answer. Myself, I'm not happy unless I'm on the hunt for something. The objects of my lemmings have shifted over the years.
I have a big book collection, quite a lot of strange adventure games and more miniature pigs than I care to mention ;-)

And nowadays, I'm feeding my Helmer a little something almost every day, and it brings me pleasure every time.
